PROJECT DESCRIPTION 

VINFAST is a Vietnamese electric car and motorcycle manufacturer founded in 2017, with a primary assembly and production plant located in Dinh Vu Industrial Zone, Cat Hai, Hai Phong.  

The VINFAST car factory is built on an area of over 500,000 m² within the total 335 hectares of the entire complex, and is one of the most modern and advanced in the world, built to meet the trend of Industry 4.0 technology.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS 

VinFast factory has a large scale with 10,000 workers and a total campus area of up to 500,000 m², divided into many areas such as the operating room, electric motorbike production area, automobile production area, and auxiliary industrial park, training centers and R&D institutes. 

VINFAST factory management needs a professional solution to control the overall entrance from the parking lot to the factory lobby area. Systems need to be synchronously integrated and easily operated to enhance security as well as effectively manage employees and visitors to the factory.

A.Modern and Effective Access Control Management of Factory

VinFast needs to deploy a smart access control system, integrating facial recognition and quick verification features to ensure safety and convenience for employees, avoiding congestion at entry and exit points during business hours peak. This will help ensure efficiency and save time for employees when entering and exiting the factory campus, while minimizing negative impacts on VinFast's production process.

Solution

ZKTeco has deployed the Swing SBTL300 gate system combined with the SpeedFace M4 facial recognition access control device at the entrance areas of different workshop areas. This system requires all employees to pass through a lane gate and authenticate by face or card to gain access. The Swing Barrier SBTL300 lane security gate is kept in the locked position until user information is successfully verified via the SpeedFace M4 control time attendance device, then the barriers automatically retract allowing the user to go into the area.

All Swing SBLT300 gate systems and SpeedFace M4 smart facial recognition devices are integrated with ZKBio CVSecurity general management software to manage and store data, divide in and out time, and report information. 

B.Quick and Automatic Parking Management 

VinFast requires a vehicle control system that meets the need to manage all vehicles automatically, synchronously and effectively in order to optimally control the number of vehicles entering and leaving the factory at each time and build the environment more convenient and civilized. VinFast organizes transportation for most employees by bus from home to the factory and vice versa every day. To manage the bus system most effectively, employees are required to register in advance to use this service. Only registered employees are allowed to use the bus, to avoid dishonest outsiders using the bus and causing loss and other security problems.

Solution

ZKTeco has deployed a system of 100 FaceDepot 7BL devices on 100 buses transporting VinFast employees. FaceDepot 7BL is a Linux-based access control device that supports Visible Light face and palm recognition technology with fast speeds under <1s. These devices are installed at the boarding gate of the bus to authenticate the face or palm of the employee who has registered for the company bus travel service to grant access.

C.Manage vehicles entering and exiting the parking lot 

Managing employee access at the VinFast factory requires an automatic, multi-modal smart identification security parking control system with integrated advertising. Furthermore, this system must meet the requirements of efficient operation and high durability in a completely outdoor environment. 

Solution

ZKTeco has deployed an advanced parking control system with multi-modal authentication technology combined with modern license plate recognition including 16 BGM2000 Barrier Gates, 14 facial recognition devices, cards, integrated QR codes TBM advertising box and 16 VR10 Smart Radar Sensors. 

When arriving at the parking lot, employees or visitors need to authenticate their face/card/QR code using a control device integrated with a TBM advertising screen. When the authentication information matches the license plate data recorded by the license plate camera, the Open signal is sent to the BGM2000 automatic barrier gate. The lifting arm of the barrier gate is raised to allow the vehicle to enter and the driver or license plate number will be recorded by the surveillance camera. The system is equipped with a VR10 safety sensor to help prevent vehicles or any obstacles from crashing into people or property when allowing automatic closing
