Established in 1991, the German-Malaysian Institute (GMI) is a pioneer in German TVET in Malaysia, offering a  balanced mix of practical and theoretical education. It provides broad-based engineering programs with options  for specialization and self-directed learning. GMI offers diverse training, including full-time diploma courses, a  pre-university A-Level program, skills upgrading technical courses, train-the-trainer programs, and industrial  consultancy services. Governed by a board representing both the Malaysian and German governments as  well as industry and public sectors, GMI enrolled its first students in 1992 and has since seen steady growth in  enrollment.

Project Requirements
· A system that automatically grants access to staff, while restricting entry to visitors who are not pre-registered.
· A system that tracks and records entry and exit activity in real time.
· A system that integrates parking zones with management software to provide live space availability and  improve traffic flow.


Project Solution

For the German-Malaysian Institute, we implemented a comprehensive parking access control solution designed  to streamline daily access while enhancing security for students, staff, and visitors. The system features the  ProBG3000 Barrier Gate paired with the UHF10F Pro Reader, which automatically grants entry to authorized  personnel and restricts access to unregistered vehicles, ensuring a secure environment. Centralized management  is provided through ZKParking software, enabling real-time tracking of vehicle movements, efficient authorization  management for both temporary and permanent users, and detailed reporting on access and usage patterns.  This solution represents a significant advancement in integrating convenience with robust security, empowering  the institute to manage vehicle access more intelligently and efficiently.
