Pandora Production Vietnam Factory is a modern jewelry manufacturing facility of Pandora Group (Denmark) – one of the world’s largest jewelry brands. The project has a total investment of approximately USD 150 million and is expected to commence operations in 2026. Once completed, the factory will operate on a large scale with an annual production capacity of around 60 million pieces of jewelry. The facility is designed to meet modern standards, contributing to the group’s sustainable development goals.
Requirements & Solution
The management team of the Pandora Factory is seeking an automated, efficient, and secure access control solution for both people and vehicles, with the aim of protecting assets, ensuring overall security, and creating a modern, professional, and convenient working environment to support daily operations.
A.Effective Vehicle Access Control
To ensure strict control of factory access, including parking areas for employees and visitors, the management needs to deploy an automated parking security control system for both cars and motorcycles. The system not only enables smooth and secure operations but is also required to operate stably and durably in outdoor environments, meeting the demands of long-term and continuous use.
Solution
Motorcycle access control
When approaching the parking area, employees and visitors use pre-registered access cards to authenticate at the card reader located at the entrance. Once the card information is verified as valid and matched with the authorized user, the C3-400 controller automatically activates the BGM10130 barrier gate, allowing vehicles to enter and exit the parking area quickly and conveniently.
Car access control
For cars, the system operates on a similar principle but is enhanced with the UHF 5 Pro Series long-range card reader, which automatically detects and authenticates UHF tags attached to the vehicle windshield from a distance of 2–8 meters, without the need for the vehicle to stop for card tapping. When the card information matches the pre-registered data, the automatic Barrier BGM1045 is raised, enabling smooth, fast, and secure vehicle access in and out of the parking area. The system is also integrated with VR10 Pro and PSA02 safety radar sensors, ensuring accurate and safe operation throughout the entire process.
B.Modern and Professional Access Control
The Pandora Factory needs to deploy an intelligent lane-based access control system that enables fast, accurate, and orderly movement, ensuring maximum security while minimizing congestion at entry and exit points during peak hours, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and user experience.
Solution
ZKTeco has deployed an intelligent lane-based security gate system, including the SBT2000S Swing Barrier and FBL4000 Pro & FBL4200 Pro Flap Barriers, flexibly integrated with a third-party access control system at the main lobby entrances.
The SBT2000S Swing Barrier is specially designed to support people with disabilities, while also accommodating the movement and transportation of large parcels and bulky items, ensuring convenience, flexibility, and a people-centric user experience. This solution requires all users to pass through the lane gates and complete identity authentication before access is granted. The security gates remain locked by default and are only activated once user credentials are successfully verified; at that point, the barriers automatically open or swing, allowing safe, orderly, and professional entry and exit.
