This policy document provides information and procedures laid down by ZKTeco for handling repair of hardware products, which are subject to ZKTeco's terms of the Warranty Policy.
ZKTeco provides 1 year limited hardware warranty to authorize clients of ZKTeco as follows:
ZKTeco warrants that all hardware products are free from defects in material and workmanship that result in a material deviation from the applicable published ZKTeco technical specifications or customized specifications for that particular client (“Hardware system failure”). Upon the occurrence of a Hardware system failure, ZKTeco will repair or replace such product hardware within 15 working days on receipt of the failed hardware. The hardware product must be shipped to ZKTeco and the shipping cost must be pre-paid and ZKTeco is not liable to any shipping cost.
For the replacement product(s), the warranty will be the remainder of the warranty of the original product or 60 days, whichever is longer.
Warranty Start Date Notice
All ZKTeco warranties are effective on the date of Commercial Invoice or Tax Invoice or 30 days from the date of shipment, whichever occurs first. All warranty claims must be submitted before the expiration date of the warranty term.
This warranty will only be upheld upon the proper use of the ZKTeco hardware and shall not apply if the hardware has been modified without ZKTeco’s written approval, if the serial number of hardware has been removed or if the product(s) has been damaged or impaired in any ways, including but not limited to lightning, surge, water or malicious damage. This warranty is in lieu of all other rights, conditions and warranties. ZKTeco makes no warranties or representations, either express or imply, with respect to its products or documentation, including their quality, performance, merchant-ability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Under no circumstances will ZKTeco be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use our products or documentation, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
ZKTeco is not responsible for any costs including, but not limited to, those incurred as a result of lost profits or revenue, loss of data, cost of losses.
ZKTeco will also not be liable for any personal injury or death because of the use of our products, directly or indirectly.
Subject: ZKTeco Customization Charging Standards
Background and Purpose: In order to pay attention to firmware/software customization life cycle management, change the existing customization charging standards, and improve the firmware/software customization quality. To make customization Service towards Standardization, professionalization evolution. Finally, update better service, bring benefit for customers.
Customization Scope: Except the low level device (Like K series, H Series, free software). All the other ZK TA/AC product firmware / Software and SDK are acceptable for customization.
Customization Charging Standards:
Charge: Firmware, Software, SDK customization (add new special features);
Free: Firmware Bug, Software Bug and Exchange Hardware;
1. Firmware Custom: According to the real custom workday to pay. development assessment workday charge 150 USD/ day, Testing workday charge 100 USD/day;
2. Software Custom: According to the real custom workday to pay. development assessment workday charge 150 USD/ day, Testing workday charge 100 USD/day;
3. Project Custom: According to above firmware and software custom to charge. And If the project involve data maintenance and the customers need our help who are incapable to develop, then it will charge 100USD/per day according to actual workday.
4. Free: As device itself alteration, customization transplant but except the new product; standard or customization firmware bugs and so on.
Customized Firmware/Software Lifecycle:
We promise the lifecycle of all customized software/firmware last for 2 years. After the customers received customized software/firmware products at 30 days, it will start to calculate the time. If customer want to transplant or add the new feature based on the old customized software/firmware version, but which is more than 2 years. In that case, we need to recharge the custom fee again.

2. We promise that all responses will be accurate, professional and authoritative.
3. We promise that all custom will be good quality, efficient and reasonable.
