The Provincial Energy Company of Santa Fe (EPE) is one of the leading electricity distributors in Argentina. It supplies power to more than 1,300,000 users across an extensive area of approximately 101,000 square kilometers.
Requirement
As part of its modernization efforts, EPE sought to upgrade its time and attendance management system within administrative offices. The company aimed to replace its traditional manual attendance sheets, which had proven impractical and prone to errors, with a more reliable, agile, and scalable solution. The project objectives included modernizing employee entry and exit processes, accurately recording the working hours of 3,957 employees, ensuring correct overtime calculation, and generating detailed reports on attendance and compliance with working hours.
Solution
To fulfill these requirements, a comprehensive Access Control and Attendance System was implemented. The solution included the installation of 258 SpeedFace V5L terminals across 216 entry points. These terminals are centrally managed in real time through the ZKBioTime software platform, which enables administrators to efficiently manage schedules, shifts, permissions, and customized reports. In addition, a mobile application was integrated into the system for 100 users, allowing remote attendance registration with geolocation functionality. This feature enhanced operational flexibility and ensured accurate time tracking for employees working outside the main office locations.
