Challenge
With the daily management of thousands of employees across various manufacturing plants, Maruti Suzuki faced significant challenges in efficiently handling employee attendance and streamlining meal distribution in canteens. To overcome these issues, the administration sought a seamless, contactless system to manage both attendance and canteen operations.
Requirement
· Facial Recognition: To generate meal tokens for employees.
· Prevent Repeated Claims: Ensure that no individual can claim multiple meals.
· Integration Capability: Seamless integration with third-party printing systems.
· A robust software platform to collect and manage attendance and meal data.
Solution
ZKTeco implemented a Smart Token System in the canteens by integrating Facial Recognition Terminals with high-speed thermal printers. Upon successful facial recognition, the system instantly prints a unique meal token for the employee. The design ensures that only one token is issued per employee per meal period, effectively eliminating the risk of misuse or repeated meal claims. This automation not only reduced distribution delays and queuing but also introduced a level of control and transparency that was previously unattainable with manual processes.
